Afrochella Festival 2022 Recap
Afrochella Festival will not return after five years of successful celebration in Ghana.
Organizers of Afrochella Festival did not give a good reason for not returning but may be as a result of trademark infringement sue by the Coachella organizers.

Coachella promoter Goldenvoice filed the copyright infringement lawsuit against the organisers of the Afrobeats music festival at a California district court. The lawsuit was filed several years after Goldenvoice parent company AEG warned Afrochella over the use of the name in 2019.
According to an article from Rolling Stone, AEG said:
“We understand that you are using Afrochella as the name of a music and arts festival. We note that your event is part of a larger celebration that is designed to attract those living abroad (including those in the United States) to return home to Africa.

On March 19, 2023, Feleb Concepts will begin accepting nominations for the third running of the most prestigious Ghana Merit Awards.

Eight (8) nomination categories, including Music, Media, Fashion/Photography, Cinema, Special (recognition), Art, Beauty, and Brand, have been painstakingly outlined by the award scheme’s organizers.

ANDAS MEDIA, a fast emerging events house, has announced Joey B, Yaw Tog and Kofi Jamar as lead performers for the first day of their two-day campus festival, “The LINKOP”.
The concert, scheduled for the 3rd and 4th of March at the KNUST Brunei Sports Complex, promises to be two days of unforgettable experiences, featuring performances by some of Ghana’s top artists. The event’s organizers have billed it as an unprecedented 48 hours of nonstop jamming.
