Meet Kojo Kusi, The Young Designer Behind Popular Street Wears In Ghana

 

Clement  Kusi, a young fashion designer from Kumasi has always been involved in different forms of art from a young age and it led him to studying Visual Arts in High School. He figured out in his last year in high school that fashion designing will will be the best field so went all out for it after high school.

Most of his works are been inspired by bright colors. He trained as tailors apprentice for almost three years.

According to Kusi, the training wasn’t formal. It was difficult as he had to use other streams to fill in what he was missing since the training was more practical than theory.

He is a skilled designer who has worked on major projects such as Native Magazine’s “Sound From This Side” featuring the Asakaa Boys and Black Sherif, ‘Discover Takoradi’ with Pappy Kojo, Smallgod’s “Sinner Video Shoot” and many others.

His recent notable works include the KEJETIA BOYS RACING SHIRT and the KWAME NKRUMAH PRINTED JACKET.
